Conductor, a Brazilian-based leader in payments media technology, successfully expanded into the acquiring processing market via ACI's cloud solutions for retail payments and fraud and risk management, executed through Microsoft Azure.
This public cloud deployment has allowed Conductor to capitalize on the acquiring opportunity and enable its debut in the acquiring processing market. Thanks to this successful partnership, Conductor can now deliver innovative, market-leading and future-ready payment services to both its current and future customers.
The acquiring segment has been growing in recent years and is in line with the exponential increase in the use of card payments. According to data released by Abecs, Brazilians traded BRL 1.84 trillion through credit, debit and prepaid cards in 2019, which represented an increase of 18.7% compared to 2018.
Conductor's objective was to expand its ecosystem of services and products aimed at banks, fintechs, financial institutions and retailers of different modalities. Conductor required a partner not only with a proven track record of digital payments success within Brazil and across Latin America, but also a cloud-enabled solution capable of meeting its aggressive time-to-market and growth goals.
ACI's cloud solutions for retail payments and fraud and risk management, executed through Microsoft Azure, allowed Conductor to provide advanced services to its customers and, furthermore, enable its debut in the acquiring processing market.
The ACI retail payments solution combines the features and functionality of current systems with the latest technologies to offer a high-level digital payments experience. ACI’s fraud and risk management capabilities combat existing and emerging fraud threats through a superior combination of machine learning and fraud and payments data, as well as advanced analysis. The implementation of both solutions in Conductor's products and services aimed to add even more value to the journey of its customers and the final consumer.
“We are in growth mode and partnering with ACI — a world-class payments provider with a deep understanding of both the acquiring market and the region — as part of our expansion strategy, enabling us to meet the processing needs of this market, in an agile, flexible, robust and cost-effective manner,” said Antonio Soares, CEO, Conductor. “And as we enter new businesses, leveraging ACI’s agile cloud-enabled solutions will allow us to better serve our customers’ needs and more quickly achieve our growth goals.”
