FUTURE-PROOF YOUR POS

Retailers face the daunting task of keeping up with the latest POS technology, including mobile payments, chip cards and more, while staying ahead of compliance requirements and preserving their technology investments. ACI’s eSocket.POS addresses those challenges by enabling retailers to support a variety of legacy and emerging payment solutions, all while reducing their overall implementation, maintenance, operation and compliance costs.

FLEXIBLE, COMPLIANCE-READY ARCHITECTURE

eSocket.POS, which is completely PA-DSS-compliant, interfaces to electronic POS (EPOS) systems via a Java API or a standard XML-based message interface and can reside on any EPOS terminal (cash register) or server within the store. This distinct separation means the EPOS remains out of scope for PCI-DSS, significantly simplifying the compliance process.

SUPPORTS MULTIPLE POS, PIN ENTRY DEVICES (PIDS) AND PAYMENT TYPES

eSocket.POS supports a variety of card types, including EMV, contactless chip, fuel cards, mag-stripe credit, debit, prepay, vouchers and gift/loyalty cards. It also supports a wide range of PEDs, and its support for multiple operating systems (including Windows, Linux, Mac OS, POSReady and IBM 4690) and multiple databases (i.e., SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2 Express, MySQL, Hypersonic SQL/HSQLDB) means it enables retailers to use existing store infrastructure until it reaches its end of life, adding up to big savings across the board.

DESIGNED FOR SECURITY AND RESILIENCY

No retailer can afford its payment processing system to be a single point of failure. eSockets.POS is designed for resiliency, supporting connections to redundant data centers and periodically sending status updates while automatically checking for and downloading the latest configuration parameters, patches and upgrades.
