FLEXIBLE, COMPLIANCE-READY ARCHITECTURE
eSocket.POS, which is completely PA-DSS-compliant, interfaces to electronic POS (EPOS) systems via a Java API or a standard XML-based message interface and can reside on any EPOS terminal (cash register) or server within the store. This distinct separation means the EPOS remains out of scope for PCI-DSS, significantly simplifying the compliance process.
SUPPORTS MULTIPLE POS, PIN ENTRY DEVICES (PIDS) AND PAYMENT TYPES
eSocket.POS supports a variety of card types, including EMV, contactless chip, fuel cards, mag-stripe credit, debit, prepay, vouchers and gift/loyalty cards. It also supports a wide range of PEDs, and its support for multiple operating systems (including Windows, Linux, Mac OS, POSReady and IBM 4690) and multiple databases (i.e., SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2 Express, MySQL, Hypersonic SQL/HSQLDB) means it enables retailers to use existing store infrastructure until it reaches its end of life, adding up to big savings across the board.
