(Omaha, Neb. – 4 May, 2006) – ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: TSAI), a leading international provider of solutions for electronic payments, today announced the results of a payments study conducted with Global Insight, Inc., a leading company for economic and financial analysis and forecasting. The study found that the annual number of electronic payment transactions, currently at approximately 210 billion worldwide, will double by the end of the decade and is growing at a compounded annual rate equal to four times the expected growth in real gross domestic product (GDP). The ACI-sponsored study represents the first comprehensive, econometric approach to forecasting global payments across countries representing 97 percent of the world’s GDP.
