ACI has completed the acquisition of S1 and over the coming months will integrate the S1 organization into ACI to make it an integral part of the products and services that we offer.
ACI’s products encompass the broadest set of payments solutions for retail and wholesale payments processing, payments fraud management and business online banking.
S1’s strong heritage brings a set of enhanced capabilities and geographical breadth to further augment our offerings. In particular:
- S1 Online Banking and Cash Management provides international capabilities and customers allowing ACI to expand on the strong footprint established in the U.S. with ACI Enterprise Banker. In addition, this solution has functionality in Trade Finance.
- In the retailer market, S1 has a strong presence in countries outside North America so this will expand the ACI presence in this sector.
- S1 has a solution for Consumer Online Banking, which is a new sector for ACI.
- S1 also has a suite of solutions to service the Community Banks in the U.S., also a new market for ACI.
In addition, the deep payments knowledge of ACI’s global staff will be greatly enriched by the expertise of the S1 staff.
There is some overlap in functionality between the ACI and S1 product sets. ACI plans to closely assess the S1 products to determine how best to integrate the two sets of functions with a focus on creating a best-in-class product. We will take the time to diligently work through this process and keep you informed as decisions are made.
S1's Community Financial division (including Community Banking, PM Systems and Branch Banking customers) will remain as a standalone division within ACI and there will be no change to your day-to-day contacts for both sales and support. Over the next three months, we will review how tighter integration could potentially benefit this division and its customers and keep you apprised of our progress.
The combination of our organizations creates a world-class hosting capability with significant scale. S1 and ACI have been providing hosting services for customers for many years. The combined facilities and expertise will enable us to provide true best-in-class delivery capability. We will provide you further details as we plan the integration of our operations. In the meantime, the arrangements for your hosting service, if you use that, will not change.
A structured communications process with our customers will be in place throughout the integration process and this page will be updated regularly with latest information about the integration of the companies. We have a goal of communicating our strategy for product integration during Q4 2012. The next communication on product strategy will be in April.
