ACI Web Access Services is an ideal product suite for users who already rely on the availability and scalability of HP NonStop servers for transaction processing and now require these applications to participate in a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) to take advantage of industry Web service standards. With Web Access Services, organizations can give new life to existing applications and offer new Web-based services to end users.
Web Access Services allows NonStop users to securely expose existing applications to peer systems as well as PC clients and Web browsers. Web Access Services supports new GUI client development, standard 6530 and 3270E terminal emulation or automated data stream transformation to give users a range of options for integrating NonStop services across the enterprise.
In addition to offering a variety of Web browser access options, Web Access Services acts as an HTTP gateway server, providing interface access to the transactional sub-systems including HP Pathway, NET24-XPNET and APPC-based host applications. With these interfaces, users can extend Web services access to any number of existing applications as well as remote NonStop or IBM® systems.
Web Access Services secures Internet transactions with the Secure Sockets Layer - Version 3.0 (SSL3.0) module. Data arriving or leaving the HP NonStop platform can be encrypted according to a number of well known algorithms, so clients can be securely connected to the appropriate servers. For applications exposed using SOA services, the Web Access Services SOAP services provides industry standard support of WS-Security. Additional security and authentication measures can be invoked during SOAP header processing to further secure enterprise transaction services.
BASE24-pos Web Services
As an add-on to BASE24-pos, ACI’s Web services component allows existing BASE24-pos configuration and reporting screens to become Web service-enabled. This is achieved by transparently translating between the industry standard XML/SOAP message format and the HP NonStop Pathsend format. This provides a seamless Web services interface for BASE24-pos screens without requiring any changes to BASE24.

BASE24-atm Web Services
As an add-on to BASE24-atm, ACI’s Web services component allows existing BASE24-atm configuration and reporting screens to become Web service-enabled. This provides a seamless Web services interface for BASE24-atm screens without requiring any changes to BASE24.
